Sam French

Sam calls Canmore home, she loves throwing herself in the deep end when trying new things, it’s the quickest way to find out whether or not she loves it. It’s how she found her passion to climb, ski and jump into this role with CMC.

Sam lives by the family motto, “Live first, work second, love whatever you are doing”. She can go hard in the mountains if it’s in climbing or skiing which is very rewarding. However, she finds life more fulfilling to embrace the day to day movement with good people, getting outside doing whichever activity, at whichever try hard level you feel like going at!

The mountains can be scary, yet, at the same time so beautiful. Sam enjoys teaching Wilderness First aid and AST 1 courses to help people stay safe while being able to express her passion for the outdoors.

Joining Coast Mountain Collective in 2019, Sam is very excited to have found a position that pushes her to grow at the same time as carrying out her passions. She is stoked to grow roots in this industry and in Canmore, where she leads the Rocky Mountain territory for the CMC team.

She will never say no to a bonfire or sitting down by a river.
