A desire to adventure further afield and develop second language skills led Jens to live and explore both central America and Canada’s Eastern provinces where he finished a degree in languages & international development at the University of New Brunswick.

Jens returned to the West Coast to apply his passion for the outdoors and environment to the sustainability movement. Years of working alongside enterprises seeking to reduce their environmental footprint at Climate Smart Business eventually led Jens to apply these skills in the outdoor industry at OnSight Equipment, and he is now proud to work with a growing range of innovative outdoor brands that are committed to sustainability. In his spare time Jens is still finding new corners of Squamish and Western Canada to explore, and volunteers his time with Squamish Search and Rescue and as a basketball coach.
