Ally Kennedy

Ally grew up in the mountains of California where she was immersed at a young age to backpacking and skiing in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. At that age, doll clothes and starbursts were the only things that motivated her to backpack through beautiful places like Tuolumne Meadows and Kings canyon.

Once she got a little older and wiser, her motivations changed, and her love of the outdoors and water informed her decision to get a Bsc. in Environmental Sciences with a specialty of water resources from McGill University.

Her experience as a national level ski racer and lifelong love of skiing brought her to the Canadian Rockies where she has worked in the outdoor industry since. She has seen all sides of the ski industry while working as a ski coach, a ski patrol and on trail crew. Ally brings the psych to all things ski, and loves to teach others how amazing the sport can be. Although she grew up in the mountains, it took moving to a new place to really discover all that mountains have to offer, and now is an avid climber, mountain biker and backcountry skier. She could not be more excited to start this position where she gets to pass on the psych for all her passions.
