Zach is a competitive boulderer originally from the Toronto area, now living in Montreal. After starting climbing in 2008 when his parents opened Climber’s Rock, a gym located in Burlington Ontario, he has been climbing and competing for 16+ years. Some highlights of his competitive career include 6 Youth Canadian National titles, 2 Open Canadian National titles, the 2018 Open Pan-American title, and a North American Cup series win. He is currently on the Canadian National bouldering team and is training hard for future competitions!

 

In recent years his life has undergone many changes, the biggest being marrying fellow Canadian team member & Unparallel Ambassador Madison Richardson! Shortly after getting married, they moved to Germany where they lived for one year to get a taste of the European climbing culture! Now they are back settled in Canada and are planting their roots in Montreal. As a full-time competitive climber, Zach is training twice a day almost every day at a wide range of amazing facilities in Montreal- and all the while documenting his process on the Richardson’s Climbing Youtube Channel!
