What do you want to be when you grow up? Well, a skier of course! That was Michaela’s response to the question whenever she was asked.
She grew up in Calgary and spent the winters skiing in Fernie. The mountains always felt like home and she moved to the Bow Valley when she graduated high school. She joined Ski Patrol at the Lake Louise Ski Resort and Summer Gondola and has climbed the ranks to become the Patrol Leader. She created and implemented a Girls Do Patrol ski program to inspire and mentor young girls to also lean into their dreams.
She is an outdoor enthusiast, thrives in the mountains and lives for the pursuit of adventure. Michaela can be found on her weekends in the winter ski touring in the Rockies and enjoying the quiet of the backcountry with her friends. In the summer months, she is a cycling guide and can be found mountain biking, trail running and hiking in her free time. She is also an artist and has had gallery showings in Canmore and Revelstoke, her work is inspired by the untamed Rocky Mountains.
